Being snowed in is not good for my health. I am so bored that all I can think about is "what can I eat next?" :(

ten month old

although i'm not sure of your weight, (lack of scales) you seem to be getting so big! you are starting to copy more and more things that your daddy and i do. soon, we will really have to watch what we say.

we love listening to you babble and giggle and carry on. bath time is still one of your happiest times. you are trying more and more different foods, and making some entertaining faces along with that. your 5th tooth is working on making an appearance! you are handling it like a champ with each new one that comes along.

it's time to start planning your first birthday! (long overdue!)

we finally got us a kitchen table WITH CHAIRS, so i am feeling a little more inspired than usual today.

+ hosted a pretty successful and awesome superbowl party, complete with lots of great food and even greater friends.

 
  + the house is pretty clean, except for the floors. worst part about hardwood. (i refuse to sweep every two hours.)

+ the kitchen is no longer a mess. we tackled that first thing this morning.

+ the bedroom dresser is free of the mountain of clothes that accumulate over a months time.

+ the taco bake/leftovers have been eaten.

+ the sun is now shining and it has stopped raining. :)

Despite the fact that I have not kept up with the NFL season this year, there will always be a little something magical about the playoffs/superbowl. No matter who is playing.

(except for the patriots, and they are about to be OUTTIE!)

I'm hoping the 49ers win it this year!

nine month old

this is something i should have been doing every month but i am so behind when it comes to these type things. i've been reading them everywhere and decided i was going to start. (a couple weeks late)

Mr. Brantley is 15 lbs 13 oz and loves bath time. he can rock himself to sleep but will fight nap time all afternoon long. he's already standing in his crib and won't be long before he's trying to walk (all he needs it balance)

he likes to pull the kitty's fur and has been fond of his paci, working on his 3rd tooth! 

really craving mommy and daddy's nonstop attention and affection. also a headbanger.

i am convinced that 2014 is the year of the friends[ships]

this year will be full of make ups, reunions, get togethers, card games, good food, laughter, companionship, love, trust, bonds, photographs, memories and celebrations and i cannot wait.

cold and sickness

I wish I was better at this blogging thing. I wish I could've made that a new years resolution, because with a baby, things need to be documented but that is one of the departments I lack in very much. I hate it. I don't even have a planner for this year yet so I don't even feel like I know what day it is half the time.

Brantley is 9 months now, as of the 2nd of this year, and he's working on popping through his second tooth and has already battled and conquered the stomach bug and is working his way through this sinus infection junk. We have all three had both, but I have to say, out of all of us, he has probably handled it the best, the stomach bug for sure!

Next up for him is his flu booster shot if we can all make it through the rest of the week. Frigid cold temperatures here, mama thinks it'll make for a slow day at work for me tomorrow. *fingers crossed*
